Up to 3 photographs may be uploaded for a $10 donation. Each $10 donation goes to the Friends of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area to use where most needed.
Each photograph submitted must be titled with the photographer's name, a dash, then a brief description of where the photograph was taken in the park. An example is:
Mary Smith - Smithfield Beach boat launch
The name and title on the photo will be used to give the photographer credit and to provide a brief one line description of the location of the photograph.
When submitting the photos, please choose whether to allow the Park and Friends to use the photos in promotion or publicity efforts, or to only allow use of the photos in the Friends calendar. See the link below to view the Photo Release agreement from the Park that you are agreeing to if you opt to release for promotion and publicity use.

“Beauty and Adventures in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area” Calendar Competition
The Friends of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area Annual Calendar Photo Contest is now open for the 2022 calendar!! Each year we hold a photo contest with our partner, the Pocono Photo Club, to put together a calendar of our beautiful national park. If you are not already part of the Pocono Photo Club for the Friends, you may join by visiting the Donate page on this website or the PPC website at poconophotoclub.com and go to Join the Club.
The contest is for any pictures taken within the park in these 3 categories:
1. Landscapes and buildings
3. People enjoying the park
Of course, the season counts, too! Be sure to enter photos spanning the year as best you can. The cost to submit up to 3 photos is $10, but you can submit again and again as you see fit. Our judges will pick the top 3 photos, and 9 runners-up to make up the calendar for the year. Prizes for the top 3 are as follows:
First Place - $100
Second Place - $75
Third Place - $50
All photos submitted are considered available for Park use for marketing (all forms) and display at the Headquarters building unless you opt-out of the release form below. This does place any photo the Park does use in the Public Domain. The Park will always give credit to the photographer whenever a photo is used. If you do not release the photos, they will only be used by the Friends for use in the calendar.
